Last month, the Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC) presented the MGEU bargaining committee representing adjustors of Local 359, 360, 361, and 362 with a final offer.

While the committee felt the offer achieved some of the goals brought forth by the membership, it also failed to address some of the group’s key compensation goals.
Members voted this week and the ballots were counted today. MASC adjustors have rejected the employer’s offer.

The committee hopes the employer will return to the bargaining table with a better offer and the MGEU will request that both parties return, but the employer is not obligated to do so. If the employer does not return to the table, the committee will have to begin preparations for a strike vote.

Members are encouraged to continue watching the weekly Bargaining Briefs section for the latest developments.
