Last night members from Canadian Blood Services (Locals 200 and 400) voted in favour of a strike mandate.
The bargaining committee for these 118 members will now be contacting the employer to see whether they would be willing to go back to the bargaining table in light of a strike mandate from the membership.
If the employer decides not to return to the table, the bargaining committee will then move to set a strike date.
The bargaining committee appreciates the continued support of members as they work towards obtaining a fair and reasonable contract for all members of Local 200 and 400.
