MGEU President Lois Wales, who attended the ceremony, said she was inspired by seeing so many people and their amazing selfless acts recognized.

“It’s great coming to an event like this and seeing our members recognized. I want to congratulate everyone who received an award and I want to say thank you to every brave MGEU member who gives so much of themselves in order to make our communities better places to live. Their actions may not always be recognized with awards but I can assure you it’s appreciated just the same.”
