The NDP have committed to expanding the Southdale Recreation Centre if given a new mandate. They pledged a one-third commitment to the Southdale Recreation Association for a new rec centre that will allow for more mini-soccer, hockey and ringette, as well as more drop-in programs for youth and seniors, and a new youth volleyball program.
