More than 1,600 people explored the Manitoba Museum on Sunday, May 6 for the union’s second Day at the Museum event.

MGEU members and their families packed the museum, planetarium and science gallery for a fun, free afternoon – all part of the MGEU’s member appreciation program.

“Last year was the first time we hosted this event at the Museum and we had a great response,” said MGEU President Lois Wales. “It was also a natural fit because the Museum employees are MGEU members, so in this case we have the opportunity to treat our members to a day of fun and support our museum members all at the same time. Judging from today’s event, I’d say it was a hit again.”

Wales is currently visiting communities around the province to attend various events in appreciation of the MGEU’s elected activists.
