A youth-led march to honour the National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured on the job was held this afternoon in Winnipeg.

Hundreds of students and workers (including about a dozen MGEU members) took part in the event, which was themed 'Health and Safety Rights are Human Rights.' This year's march left the Union Centre just after noon and (in keeping with this year’s theme) finished right beside the Canadian Museum of Human Rights at the Forks.

The event was hosted by Safe Workers of Tomorrow.
