A ceremony held in late January honoured three Brandon workplaces for their dedication to helping promote blood donation, including MGEU members from the Brandon Correctional Centre.

Behlen Industries, the Brandon Correctional Centre and Pfizer each received Canadian Blood Services’ 2011 Award of Outstanding Achievement at the annual Partners for Life luncheon. Each organization was selected based on its dedication, creativity and contribution to our national blood system last year.

There are 101 organizations in Brandon that have signed on to promote blood donation.
