Manitobans are welcome to make presentations to the Adult Corrections Capacity Committee in person. They are asked to register in advance by calling 204-945-7309 and to provide a written copy of their presentation by emailing correctionscapacity@gov.mb.ca.

The committee will provide advice to government on how much additional bed space should be added to Manitoba's provincial correctional facilities in the next 10 years and will advise what services and retraining should be available to inmates at provincial correctional centres to reduce repeat offences and ensure inmates are ready for life outside jail.

The province has asked the committee to offer advice on the potential options and make its recommendations by this spring. More information about the committee and its mandate is available here.
