For the third year in a row, the Government of Manitoba has officially proclaimed November 6th “Community Social Service Workers Appreciation Day”.

The MGEU represents well over a thousand community social service workers across the province with almost thirty Locals now part of the union’s Community-Based Social Services Component.

“Our members in community social services do an outstanding job in the face of some pretty difficult circumstances. These workers are essential to building strong communities, yet their efforts often go unnoticed. That’s why I think it’s so important to recognize the work they do every year,” says MGEU President Lois Wales.
