Two weeks ago, Knowles Centre members rejected a tentative agreement and voted in favour of strike action. Before any strike date was set though, the employer and the MGEU bargaining committee went back to the bargaining table to see if a deal could be reached.

A new five-year agreement was reached with a 2.9% general wage increase in each of the last three years.

Today, Knowles Centre members voted to accept the agreement. The bargaining committee’s next step is to contact the employer and get the agreement finalized and signed before it can be printed and distributed to members.

In the meantime, members are encouraged to update their contact information here to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
