Following the nearly unanimous rejection of the employer’s final offer on September 8, the WRHA Community Programs (Local 220) Bargaining Committee once again met with the employer to try and achieve an offer that addressed the Local’s concerns.
During that session the employer indicated that there could be some movement in the packaged offer. Over several hours, the bargaining committee discussed their concerns with the offer and continued to try and achieve a fair and reasonable settlement position.
At this point, the WRHA Community Programs (Local 220) Bargaining Committee believes that they have come to the best reasonable offer available and is RECOMMENDING ACCEPTANCE of the offer.
The ratification vote will be held on Tuesday, October 11th, at the Union Centre (275 Broadway) in room 2C from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
