Last month, the MGEU negotiating team representing Manitoba Lotteries Food & Beverage Local 260 reached a tentative agreement with management. The team pushed the employer as far as they would go and they believed it was the best offer that could be achieved in what the government is calling tight fiscal times.
Members casted their ballots this week and the committee wishes to thank everyone who took time out of their busy summer schedules to vote.
Tonight the ballots were counted: members have voted to reject the agreement.
The next step for the bargaining committee is to contact the employer and request both sides return to the bargaining table as soon as possible. Members are encouraged to continue watching the weekly Bargaining Briefs section for the latest developments at the bargaining table.
