Over the past few weeks, MGEU members from the University College of the North have been casting their ballots to either accept or reject a settlement offer put forward by the employer last month.
This afternoon, the ballots were counted. The result: members have voted to accept the offer, which addresses a number of key areas such as wages, pension funding, benefits and employment security.
Representatives from the MGEU will now work at getting the agreement finalized and signed, before it’s printed and distributed to members. UCN members are encouraged to update their contact information here or by calling the Resource Centre to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract.
