This week, members of Local 380, Riverwood Square, ratified a three-year collective agreement. Riverwood Square, which certified with the MGEU at the end of July, is housing for both independent and supportive living for seniors. The 1st-time agreement, for about 110 employees, includes the establishment of wage scales, fair and consistent working conditions, significant improvements to wage premiums, a signing bonus of $300, and improvements to both vacation and sick time.
Over the next few weeks, the agreement will be finalized and signed by both parties before it is printed and sent to all members of Local 380.
The two sides have been in negotiations since November 2010.
