It’s the annual MGEU fundraiser where you can enjoy anything on the menu, so long as it’s spaghetti.

MGEU members once again filled the Portage la Prairie Royal Canadian Legion Hall this Wednesday for a charity lunch where, you guessed it, only spaghetti was on the menu.

The 15th annual tradition returned this year and raised over $4,000 for the United Way. The MGEU covered the cost of food and provided the volunteers to prepare meals with help from inmates at the Portage Correctional Centre. The Royal Canadian Legion donated the space for the event.

The MGEU would like to thank everyone involved for making this year’s Spaghetti Lunch a complete success.

All of the money raised by this event stays in the community to fund various programs and services offered by organizations in Portage and the surrounding communities. To find out how you can get involved with the 2010 Annual Campaign contact the Portage Plains United Way.
