With institutions bursting at the seams, and the number of “disturbances and injuries” continuing to rise, the risk to MGEU Corrections members is at an all-time high.

That’s why members of the MGEU's Corrections Component are going to the Legislature to voice their concerns to the government.

The component will be staging a rally on June 9, which will begin at the Winnipeg Convention Centre (members should arrive after 1pm). At approximately 2:30pm members will begin a march to the front steps of the Legislature.

All interested MGEU members are encouraged to take part. For more details, including transportation arrangements to and from the rally for rural corrections staff, contact the MGEU Resource Centre.
