Last month, the MGEU informed Family Services and Housing members that their employer would be providing them with some much-needed clarification on Criminal Record, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Checks, being requested by the employer for Pandemic Planning.
The employer provided the union with a copy of the letter that was to be distributed to all members in November. Unfortunately, as the union learned late last week, Housing members were not sent any letters.
The union immediately informed the Province of the error. As a result, Housing and Community Development has confirmed that a memorandum about the issue was sent to all staff on Monday, November 30th.
