MGEU members will once again be serving up spaghetti in support of the Portage Plains United Way. The annual Spaghetti Luncheon returns Wednesday, November 4th (11:30am – 1:30pm) to the Royal Canadian Legion in Portage la Prairie (275 Duke Ave.).
Tickets, only $8, are now available at the United Way office (857-4440) or at the MGEU Portage office (1-866-982-6438). This year, takeout orders are also available – call 857-4440 in advance.
This lunchtime fundraiser has become an annual tradition for Portage residents, made possible by the generous help of the volunteers from the MGEU and Portage Correctional Centre and the support of the Royal Canadian Legion. All proceeds raised from the event stay in the community to fund various programs to help people from all walks of life.
