Members of Rod McGillvary Memorial Care Home - Local 447 in The Pas have ratified their first collective agreement.
Workers at the care home originally organized with the MGEU to have more of a voice in addressing concerns such as scheduling changes and to improve wages. The new three-year contract is an excellent first step in achieving these goals and will serve to create a more stable, respectful workplace for all.
The Bargaining Committee encourages members who have not yet signed a membership application form to contact the MGEU Resource Centre to ensure they receive a copy of the collective agreement once it’s printed.
