Are you checking out the Winnipeg General Strike 100th anniversary events this spring? To commemorate this important moment in history, we’re giving MGEU members the chance to win a fantastic 1919 Prize Package.
To enter, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
1. Go to mfl.ca/1919 to see where and when the General Strike Centenary events are happening.
2. Head to one of the events (it can be the Solidarity Forever Parade, a 1919 concert, an exhibit, or even a 1919 monument).
3. Take a selfie while you’re there having a good time and send us your photo to promotions@mgeu.ca or send it in a message to us on Facebook. Please include your full name, where you work, and your member ID number (if you know it) in your message.
Then, on June 19, 2019, we'll randomly draw the winners for one of a dozen different prize packages.
So get out there and start snapping some photos!
Rules and conditions: Contest only available to MGEU members. You can send us as many images as you like, but only one prize package will be awarded per member. MGEU member must be in the photo to be entered and must provide full name so that we can verify membership in our database. By providing an image, you are granting MGEU permission to share the image on its social media feeds or website. The deadline to share photos is June 18, 2019. One of twelve prize packages will be awarded. Winners will be notified via Facebook Messenger or by phone if a number is provided. Prize Packages will be available for pick-up at one of the MGEU’s eight regional offices.
