As the St. Norbert Personal Care Home Bargaining Committee was unable to reach an agreement at the bargaining table, arguments for both sides were put before the Manitoba Labour Board (MLB) and are now complete.
According to the Labour Relations Act, the decision made by the MLB will be reached by June 29, 2009 and will be binding on both parties. This agreement will be for one year.
The MGEU will hold a meeting in early July to explain the Manitoba Labour Board's decision. Meeting notices will be sent by mail.
