Labour Day is an opportunity for Manitobans to recognize the achievements of workers while celebrating the last long weekend of the summer with family and friends.

What better way to do that than by attending your local Labour Day celebration! Here's a list of events happening across Manitoba this upcoming Labour Day Long Weekend.

Brandon District Labour Council Picnic
When: Monday, September 3: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Where: UFCW Office - 530 Richmond Ave. E. (green space)
Details: Free BBQ (hotdogs and drinks), bouncy house and other goodies and prizes. Please bring a lawn chair.

Dauphin District Labour Council Picnic
When:  Monday, September 3 (11:00 am to 2:00 pm)
Where:  Vermillion Park - 214 2nd Avenue

Selkirk District Labour Day Picnic
When: Monday, September 3 (11:00 am – 3:00 pm)
Where: Selkirk Park: next to Marine Museum Area 1 – picnic shelter
Details: Free hot dogs and drinks, air bouncer, games and prizes. Everyone is welcome!

Winnipeg Labour Council Picnic & March
When:
Monday, September 3 (March starts at 12:30 pm, Picnic from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
Where:
The March will assemble in Memorial Park at 12:30 pm for speakers and leave at 1:00 pm to head down to Vimy Ridge park where the picnic will begin at 1:30pm.
Details:
Everyone is welcome to enjoy free BBQ and entertainment at the Picnic.
