On Tuesday June 2nd, members of the Seine River School Division (Educational Assistants) reached a tentative agreement.
Agreement Highlights:
The new three year agreement includes a 3% wage increase each year from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2011.
There is also an Increase to the Long Service Allowance and a decrease in years of service.
The LSA is currently $0.40 per hour and will increase on July 1,2009 to $0.45 per hour and on July 1, 2010 will increase to $0.50 per hour.

July 1, 2009 eligibility will decrease from 7 years to 5 years.
July 1, 2010 eligibility will decrease from 5 years to 3 years.

There will also be an Increase to the Academic Allowance.
The Academic Allowance is currently $1.00 per hour and will increase to $1.05 and hour on July 1,2009 with another increase on July 1, 2010 to $1.10 per hour.
A Ratification Vote will be held on Saturday June 20, 2009 at 11.00am in the Lorette Arena.
