Members of Knowles Centre, Support Assistance to Independent Living (SAIL) - Local 432, who assist older teens who've been in care to begin living independently, ratified a new three-year agreement last night.
Highlights of the agreement include significant improvements to vacation and sick leave, including the introduction of a Mental Health Day .
In a separate vote, Local 432 Support Workers agreed to a change in their hours of work, extending their evening availability from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Members are encouraged to make sure the union has their most current contact information in order to receive a copy of their collective agreement.
