The union met with representatives of the Regional Health Authorities late last week and received an offer to settle the dispute concerning vacation for part time employees. The employer has agreed to arbitrate this issue, which was what the union proposed at the bargaining table in December. As a result, the strike set for May 14th has been postponed, pending ratification of the tentative agreement.

The process for planning ratification meetings began today, and these meetings will be held over the next several weeks. Meeting notices will be sent out by mail, or you can check below for dates and locations.
