Last night members of Local 214 - Family Services, Family Support ratified a two-year agreement. The agreement consists of general wage increases of 2.5% and 2.7%, as well as special adjustments benefiting over half of the membership. With this agreement, members will also see improvements to sick leave provisions.

The employer has been contacted and will now start the process of implementing the new wage scales. Once completed, retro pay will then be calculated. The Union has requested retro pay be issued on a separate cheque, as has been the practice during past rounds of negotiation
