The Day of Mourning is Canada’s national day to honour all those killed or injured on the job. Every year on April 28, the labour movement hosts events to remember these workers and to reaffirm our resolve to work for safe and healthy workplaces. Here's what is happening around the province this year:

Starting at the MGEU building and marching to the courthouse and back.

Selkirk 
Selkirk and District Labour Council Day of Mourning Leaders Walk 

April 28, 2016: 10:45 am – 11:30 am
Selkirk Memorial Hall, 376 Jemima St.
Light lunch to follow at Steel Workers Hall (400 Pittsburg Ave.)

Union Centre Candlelight Memorial Service

A reception with refreshments will take place before the service at 10:45 am.
