The new agreement defines hours of work, the grievance procedure, working conditions and respectful workplace procedures.
Other contract improvements include wage increases, an on-call premium, training allowance, and personal absence days.
The MGEU will now be working with the employer to finalize the agreement in order to get the contract signed, printed and into members' hands as soon as possible.
In the meantime, Local 429 members are encouraged to update their contact information to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
