The HSC Security strike – scheduled to begin Tuesday, December 15 – has been postponed as a result of a new tentative agreement the
Local’s Bargaining Committee reached late last night with WRHA/HSC.
Details on the tentative agreement will be provided to Local
249 members at the ratification vote on December 15 and 16 at the Canad Inns
Health Sciences Centre. Voting takes place between 5:30pm and 8:30pm both days (information
meetings begin at 5:30pm and 7:30pm).
The HSC Security Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement. If the agreement is ratified, the strike will be cancelled.
If the agreement is not ratified, strike action will begin December 22.
Members of Local 249 are reminded that they will only be
provided with one ballot and must be in attendance at a meeting to vote. Please
bring valid photo ID.
