Manitoba is at its best when we’re all working together – with strong public services that keep our province running.

That’s the motivation behind the MGEU’s latest community campaign aimed at keeping vital public services together with the Manitobans who rely on them every day.

Through the Elephant Talk campaign, the union has had great success in helping MGEU members talk about how our public services can only deliver the results Manitobans deserve if we give those services the resources they need. That campaign also gave Manitobans the opportunity to provide their own perspective on why we need to protect our public services.

Keep Us Together, which kicks-off today, continues that conversation with over a dozen public workers talking about the services they provide, how Manitobans benefit from those services, and what we stand to lose from cuts and privatization.

It features radio ads airing on stations throughout Manitoba and a new campaign site, called keepustogether.ca, which allows you to listen to audio clips from MGEU members talking about how their work is vital to all Manitobans. You can also add your voice to the conversation by using pre-designed graphics to share on Facebook and Twitter or the shareable creation tool to upload your own image, apply an overlay, and share with friends and followers on social media.

Check out keepustogether.ca, share with friends and family and check back for updates over the next few months as the campaign continues to grow.
