The Manitoba Apprenticeship Awards of Distinction Gala Dinner was held on Thursday, November 5, and the MGEU was definitely well-represented.
Todd Birtwhistle, a cabinetmaker from Red River College, was recognized as Instructor of the Year. As stated in the program for the evening’s event, “Todd is known to regularly arrive early to open the shop for students and to stay late to help students master a concept or task. His experience in the cabinetmaking industry and his insights are greatly valued and respected by students.”
The MGEU extends its congratulations to Todd for this achievement. It’s heartening to know that we have such able members in the training and education sector.
