Last night, after two years at the bargaining table, the Community Support Bargaining Committee reached a tentative agreement with the committee representing employers.

“We know home care clients and their families place a great deal of value on the work we do, so it’s a relief that a tentative deal was reached,” said Michelle Gawronsky, MGEU President.

“This has been a long road for members of the community support bargaining committee. We’re pleased we are now able to bring this offer to the members for a vote.”

Details of the agreement will not be shared until the 4800 members of the Component have had an opportunity to review them. The Bargaining Committee will meet shortly to schedule ratification votes for members across the province. Further information on the votes will be sent to members of the Locals once the details are finalized.
