This past year, MGEU’s home care workers celebrated a
milestone: 40 years of caring for our most vulnerable Manitobans through Canada’s
first and only comprehensive, publicly funded home care program.
And coming up, from June 14 to 20, is National Public
Services Week!
Which
got us here at the MGEU offices thinking...why limit it to a week?
Now, more than ever, we must take every opportunity to speak up about the vital role that public services play in our communities. And in many ways, the conversation must start with you, the Manitobans who provide these services, day-in and day-out.
Throughout the month of June, your union would like to invite you to take a little break with us to celebrate the work you do and chat a bit about why it’s so important.
