The MGEU is pleased to announce the hiring of Jean-Guy Bourgeois as Director of Internal Operations.
Jean-Guy was a union activist throughout his university career and has extensive experience working in government. At the federal level, he worked in research and communications, and at the provincial level, served as Director of Issues Management for Executive Council and in senior roles in Health and at the Community and Economic Development Committee of Cabinet.
He worked on communications, government advocacy, rebranding and major events at the Manitoba Federation of Labour until about a year ago. Most recently, he was seconded as the Senior Advisor to the Manitoba Minister of Finance and the Minister of Jobs and the Economy.
Jean-Guy continues his passion for social justice when he begins his MGEU career on December 15.
