MGEU members of Churchill Health Centre (Local 134) ratified a new five-year contract yesterday. 

Highlights of the new agreement (effective April 1, 2012 - March 31, 2017) include a 2.5% increase in 2014, 2.5% in 2015, and 2% in 2016, a new long-service step, slight increases to shift premiums, and improvements to vacation travel assistance. 

There is also a new isolation/remoteness retention allowance in the amount of $9,000 annually for Prof/Tech classifications and a $1,000 annual Northern Isolation/Remoteness allowance (effective 2017) for all other classifications.
