direct deposit MGEU 2014

Do you receive your MGEU expenses by cheque?

By January 2015, the MGEU will be phasing out cheques in favour of Direct Deposit for expense reimbursements. If you currently receive payments from the union via cheque, you must enroll.

If you sign up before December 31, 2014, you can win one of three fantastic prizes. Click here for a list of prizes and contest details.

During the month of September, enrollment forms will be available at your Local meeting. If you’re unable to attend your Local meeting, you can print off the form  and mail it in.

How Direct Deposit Works

Once you are set up on direct deposit, you can submit expenses online through THE SOURCE or through the mail. After processing your claim, the money is deposited into your account and a payment summary (similar to a cheque stub) is sent by email to your personal email address.

The Benefits of Direct Deposit

? No More Cheques:

Processing cheques can be a very costly process for all parties involved.  There are costs associated in the printing, sorting, receiving and depositing of cheques.

? Payments Received in a Timely Manner:

Payments will be deposited into an account of your choice within three business days of processing. You no longer have to worry about delays or lost cheques.

? Detailed Payment Information:

An email notification will be sent with each payment to a personal email address of your choice. The notice will contain details of the payment, similar to what would appear on a cheque stub.

? Security of Information:

All banking information will either be stored in a locked cabinet or password protected system and accessible only by our accounting department.
