On April 2, MGEU members of Local 92, St. Amant Support voted overwhelmingly to accept a new agreement with their employer.

The five-year agreement (retroactive to April 1, 2012) includes a new resident transportation responsibility allowance and a change in how Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are treated in terms of holidays. There was also some increases to part-time EFTs.

The eight bargaining sessions with the employer were interrupted by the government’s decision to amalgamate several rural RHAs.  At the beginning of March the Bargaining Committee received the mandate from government they had been waiting for.

The bargaining committee encourages Local 92 members to update their contact information to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once it’s printed.

This agreement covers approximately 430 members in Local 92.
