In partnership with the University of Western Ontario, the Women’s Committee of the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) has created a survey that looks at how domestic violence can affect Canadian workers and what kinds of supports are available in workplaces.

The study is based on the belief that domestic violence has effects outside of the home – that it permeates the workplace as well and affects employees and employers.

Although several studies around the world have looked into this issue, there is not a lot of Canadian data on it.  The aims of this study are to learn about how domestic violence is affecting workers while they are at work and to learn how often this happens in Canada.

The CLC is looking for volunteers that are union members (and at least 15 years of age) to complete the survey, which can be found here. Submissions are completely anonymous.
