On behalf of roughly 100 members working for Southeast Child and Family Services, Local 395, the Bargaining Committee recently reached a tentative agreement with their employer.

Highlights of the two-year deal include a two percent retroactive wage increase in the first year, and a two percent wage increase in the second year of the contract. Numerous other improvements include a maternity leave top-up and employer recognition of three additional statutory holidays.

This will be a first contract for the Local, and the Committee spent much of the spring working to put together a comprehensive package to take to the employer.

Bargaining Committee members will be recommending the deal to members when they vote whether to accept the settlement on Monday, December 16.
