Phase Two of the MGEU’s ElephantTalk campaign about the value of public services kicked off earlier this month. It features more than a dozen messages from members who work in public service jobs – from addictions counsellor to college instructor to fire ranger – explaining what they do, and why it’s so important to Manitobans.

Through November and December, you can hear their first-hand accounts on radio stations throughout the province as they try to care for Manitobans and their province while facing budget cuts, growing waiting lists and staff shortages.

Listen to a couple of the ads below and visit elephanttalk.ca to see why it’s time to talk about the elephant in the room: our public services can’t deliver the results Manitobans deserve — unless we give those services the resources they need.
