Have you ever wondered "what" or "who" the union is? Do you want to understand how your union works? The MGEU is hosting a series of information sessions, starting this fall, to help members do just that.

The sessions talk about how collective agreements are negotiated, how members can access union representation in the workplace and how the respective roles of elected leadership and professional staff work together to serve the membership. There will also be a chance to meet other MGEU members over lunch. Any MGEU member who doesn’t hold an elected union position (such as a steward, local president or health and safety officer) is eligible to attend.

Interested? Great! You can sign up by emailing educationregistration@mgeu.ca with your name, workplace and the session you’d like to attend. Spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and if you are normally scheduled to work during the session, the union will send a request to your employer on your behalf requesting time-off for you to attend with pay.
