On Friday, June 14 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre the 2013 Manitoba Service Excellence Awards were held.

The awards recognize excellence in workplace performance, community service, and includes an award for cross-sectoral teams of provincial government and external partners (public sector, volunteer or community-based organizations) whose efforts foster excellence in meeting public needs and improved programs and services for Manitobans.

This year’s recipients are: 
  • Community Service Award - Linda Smiley, Innovation, Energy and Mines.
  • Innovation Award -  Manitoba Developmental Centre (MDC) Emergency Evacuation Readiness Team.
  • Service Excellence Individual Award -Ian Kirby, Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives - Winnipeg.
  • Service Excellence Team Award -Provincial Vaccine Warehouse Transition Team, Health; Infrastructure and Transportation - Winnipeg.
  • Partnership Award - Adult Abuse Registry Implementation Team.
  • Premier’s Career Achievement Award -Jo-Anna Guerra, Family Services and Labour Winnipeg.
